Oink & Moo Barbeque in Richmond

Came through Sherman Texas on a fishing trip from Kansas City, the Home of Barbecue. I looked up local, family-owned barbecue joints and found Cackle and Oink. They said their ribs were the best thing on the menu so we had those, brisket, pulled pork, hotlinks and several homestyle side dishes. The ribs are probably in the top three in my life. Awesome! The brisket and pork were also extremely good. Well seasoned and smoke to perfection. The food was great, but the warm welcome and genuine attention from the staff really made for a great experience! Check them out, you won’t be disappointed!

Surely a spot worth stopping over, the food is good and well prepared, the pricing is affordable and it is always well organized here. Highly recommended.

I celebrated my nomination today in this gorgeous place. I am glad to say that we passed a awesome evening and the place was clearly the reason for the outstanding meeting. The team participated in a gorgeous way, the food was extremely good and my buddies were extremely glad. We shall surely come back again for more events. thanks very much.

So we went today for the first time and we got texas toast with our meals. To my surprise, it wasn't toasted at all, and it was cut in half so the staff knowingly gave me bread instead of toast.... I have never had this happen at a BBQ place before, very bizarre and not sure we will be back because of this...It's Texas TOAST not Texas BREAD.

In my opinion, perfect BBQ and sides. Nothing else matters!

I always enjoy stopping here when I roll through. The staff is always friendly and helpful really good people. The pulled pork, the ribs, the brisket it's all good. I love the potato salad and the jalapeno cornbread is to die for. Don't forget to save room for some cobbler. To date I've tried almost everything on the menu here and it is all delicious. If I was ever in the area long enough to have a get together I would definitely do take out with these folks. I know that there are some big chains in Texas that get all the recognition. I know that there are some hotspots to get good barbecue there is no shortage of in Texas. But this place is one of those little gems that not a whole lot of people know about their can easily go to bat with an a that famous once you've heard of . Thanks for the amazing meal ya'll.

Did I mention that this is the best barbecue I’ve EVER eaten? And I’ve eaten my share! It’s worth the drive if your out of town!

OMG! This BBQ is amazing! Got the M.A.C. pack- sliced beef brisket, baked beans, potato salad and 4 buns for $25. My husband, son and myself were stuffed and had a little leftover. Awesome place at a very affordable price for BBQ. Will DEFINITELY be going back!

Food is great + during lock down they made there toilet paper available to the public that was at the time so needed

This is the best little BBQ restaurant in Texas! I stopped in this afternoon for the first time, and I’ll return. The staff was some of the best in the business. Very nice and professional and made me feel at home. The brisket and sides I ordered were the best I have ever tasted. My lunch was delivered by the owner and he thanked me for my business and if I needed anything please ask. This is how you run a restaurant, by taking care of your customers. The dining area and restrooms are clean and tidy. The food is great and I enjoyed every bite. The only thing I would suggest is get a Coke machine and get rid of a Pepsi. I will return and send all friends and family to this great place on Sherman!

We were passing thru Sherman and my husband was wanting BBQ. We didn’t want the normal franchise places. We always look for a local place. I have to say, we made an excellent choice when we chose Cackle and Oink BBQ!! Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere, and the food is delicious! This will definitely be our stopping place when we travel!

The BBQ is the best 👌😍. My husband got 3/4 pulled pork, 2 side dishes. Black eyed peas and the best brisket chili it was ausome. I got brisket and pulled pork 2 sides. Brisket chili and jalapeno cornbread. This was amazing and enough for dinner.

Every time I’m in the area I have to stop in. The daily specials are huge and delicious. I someway end up adding on the sausage link for $1.50 extra each time I order lol. It’s worth the drive if you’re not local to the area! Best around and each visit is better than the last. I hope they bring back the fried bologna sandwich soon

Delicious food. Super quick and friendly service. The new wild man sauce is delicious and I absolutely love mixing their sweet bbq with their hot bbq, highly recommended. You MUST try the Jalapeño cornbread casserole. And if you like dessert, please try the peach cobbler. It's DELICIOUS. My brother and I were on a food high after eating here.

Their pulled pork and sausages are utterly delicious. Their jalapeño cornbread is the best. Everything else is just as great

Great ribs and brisket. Quiet setting, of course it wasnt at lunch time, which is usually always packed. Good sides, try the jalapeno corn bread!

The cornbread here is scrumptious! We got there just before closing and they were super nice and everything was delicious. They were only out of 1 thing.

Have breakfast at Grandy's then go across the stree to Cackles for lunch.Oh man I miss going outside.

I have been here before,bc my elderly mom loves it,Nope no more ,I’m done spent 20.00 on lunch to go,I told them 5 times I need sour cream and plastic ware...so on...Got home ,nothing,I can’t eat a Potato without sour cream.I called ,they were extremely rude,didn’t care.

Small counter serve restaurant with a drive through. Good food and friendly staff. The ribs were a bit dry but not too bad. I enjoyed it. Good sides too.

Great little barbecue restaurant in Sherman. The brisket and chicken were tender and delicious. Potato salad was some of the best I've had. Baked beans were good as well. Staff was very friendly and accommodating to our group as we had come in just after moving stuff from our home in Fort Worth into storage.I can't wait to go back and try the ribs!

Sides were good. Ribs lacked smoke. Brisket was dry and sliced thin to camouflage it. Overall I was let down by the ribs and brisket they had just been off the smoker too long. But I could eat a whole meal of the baked beans and green beans. The potato was good and was loaded with toppings as well.

Had the lunch special and was very good. The beef sándwich was the best tasting sandwich that I had in a long time. Potato salad was very tasty.

Very underated, nice family owned buisness with the competency of fast food with plenty of variety and the good service of a family owned business. Also relatively affordable.

The barbecue sauce is a unique great tasting sauce and the ribs are fabulous. Brisket is average.

There's not one bad thing about this place!! Quality is amazing, portions are a lot more than you pay for.

Wow! Would not of expected this type of an experience from such a place. The chicken fell off the bone, the pulled pork was smokey and tender, the sausage was a good consistency with a nice smoke ring. The coleslaw was no joke phenomenal.But, the best part was the "Wild Man" sauce. This mustard based Carolina Based sauce is something to rant and rave about! Cackle & Oink is now a staple for me while in this area.

Best BBQ in Sherman. Stop in for a meal every trip to visit our daughter at Austin College. The Jalapeño casserole is to die for - just needs beer to wash it all down!

I have never been to a BBQ joint that has no beef OR chicken. Only pork. Pulled pork at that. Baked potato was decent, though. Still a neat little joint to visit.
